1. 比較級・最上級とは？
英語では、物事を比べるときに「比較級」、最も優れているものを表すときに「最上級」を使います。

最上級は「3つ以上のものの中で一番～」というときに使います。
最上級の例
彼はクラスの中で一番背が高い。 → He is the tallest in the class.
この本はこの図書館で最も面白い。 → This is the most interesting book in the library.
4. 比較級・最上級のルール
形容詞の語尾によって変化の仕方が異なります。
変化のルール
- 短い単語（1音節） → 「er」「est」をつける（例: fast → faster → fastest）
- 長い単語（2音節以上） → 「more」「most」をつける（例: beautiful → more beautiful → most beautiful）
- yで終わる単語 → yをiに変えて「er」「est」をつける（例: happy → happier → happiest）
